Anyway, back to the holiday. After Alaska, I flew to New York for 10 days and had a fantastic time. It was incredibly busy, but there was so much to see and do. Spent a couple of days just walking around Central Park - it's enormous, and went to Central Park Zoo. Saw Mamma Mia on Broadway, went to the top of the Empire State Building, went on a harbour cruise, saw the Statue of Liberty, walked across the Brooklyn Bridge and basically all of the touristy things.

I did promise photos of my gorgeous puppy - Holly. She's a 6 year old Maltese and is spoilt rotten.

After 2 weeks on the bus tour there was a 7 day cruise to Alaska with stops at Ketchikan, Juneau & Skagway. In Juneau I went dog sledding, not on snow, but on a wheeled cart. Our view was very much like the one pictured. In Skagway went for a drive in a golf cart type of thing (called a Mule) and saw a wild bear which was fantastic.

After a week in San Francisco I flew to Vancouver and did a bus tour of the Rocky Mountains. The scenery was incredibly beautiful - one amazing view (like the one pictured) after another. Tho only bad thing was that I missed out on seeing a moose which I really would have loved to see.

Last year I travelled in the USA & Canada for 6 weeks. Started off in San Francisco, did all the usual tourist things - walked across the Golden Gate Bridge, went to Alcatraz Island etc.
Travels in USA & Canada

This is my first ever attempt at blogging. It's mostly about my recent travels, with the occasional photo of my incredibly photogenic dog - Holly!
